About the Louvre Post Office
The Louvre Post Office is the most iconic site of La Poste and widely recognized by the public. Open 24/7, it has long been a central point in this Parisian district. Following a major renovation project led by La Poste Immobilier, in collaboration with architect Dominique Perrault, the building has been completely transformed. Alongside the historic post office, new features such as offices, shops, a daycare center, a police station, social housing, a five-star hotel, and a rooftop have been integrated. Since reopening in 2021, the reinvented Louvre Post Office has become an essential destination in the capital.
The Street Art Festival
Inside, a two-story exhibition hall retains its original industrial design with exposed ducts, concrete floors, and a metal staircase. This space will host the works of over 15 artists in a carefully curated scenography.
The exhibition spans 350 m² indoors and 1,200 m² outdoors. The event, organized by Galerie Roussard—renowned for its Street Art Madeleine exhibition—offers a combination of artworks (sculptures and paintings), artist meetings, and live performances. The participating artists aim to integrate their work into the late-19th-century renovated architecture, creating a dialogue between the building’s history and contemporary art.
The artworks will be showcased in an indoor space of 350 m² that retains its industrial identity, featuring alcoves, exposed ducts, a metal staircase, and concrete floors. Creations by Jérôme Mesnager, Ardif, Kaldea, and Ensemble Réel will be displayed. The central patio will serve as the stage for live painting performances by artists like Jo Di Bona, Onemizer, Astro, and Wékup!
