Dynah Sings Her New Single "Ton Nom" for Her Late Mother

French artist Dynah returns with her single "Ton Nom," a heartfelt tribute to her mother, who passed away in 2020. This track is part of her album L’eau Monte, released earlier this year under the Musigamy label.

The song blends synthetic pop elements with intricate musical subtleties. Dynah's sensitive vocal performance brings vivid poetic imagery to life, supported by a meticulously crafted rhythmic approach. The accompanying music video, directed by Pierrick Guidou, adds a dynamic visual layer to this emotionally evocative piece. Featuring dancer Alice Lemarié and her students from Ballet Désaxé (Fontainebleau)—Krista Marsden, Lili Couplet, Anna Rodot, and Lison Amsellem—the video enhances the song's emotional resonance.

Before adopting the stage name Dynah, Melody Linhart released her debut album Now or Never and later joined the rock band Why Elephant alongside Julien Le Nagard. She had previously co-founded the vocal group Ommm with Manon Iattoni in 2008, producing two albums and an EP.

Dynah emerged in November 2020 with her self-titled EP on the Finalistes label, marking a shift to singing in French and collaborating with producer-composer Nicolas Gueguen. Tracks like "Découpées" and "L’eau Monte" explore themes of a planet in peril and humanity’s struggle in a fast-paced, brutal world. Playful yet deeply humanistic, Dynah infuses rhythm, melody, and poetic lyrics into a chaotic era.
