Espace Impair offers a journey beyond jazz with "Valse en U," set to release on November 15 via Booster Music, featuring the intricate single "Uzivaj." Espace Impair is a group composed of Gérald Lacharrière (flute), Matthieu Buchaniek (cello), and Frédéric Volanti (piano & melodica).
Espace Impair delivers a mesmerizing blend of flute, cello, and piano, with beautiful acoustic sounds that unfold throughout this genre-defying album. Their music navigates between Beethoven's quartets, the compositions of Miles Davis and John Coltrane, and the minimalist works of Erik Satie, Henri Texier, and Louis Sclavis.
This award-winning trio embarks on an unconventional musical journey, merging jazz, classical, and world music. Ahead of the release of their debut album "Valse en U," they deliver a breathtaking performance that redefines musical boundaries. With melodic curves and hypnotic rhythms, their music invites you to a poetic and dreamlike voyage, exploring complex time signatures.
Let yourself be swept away by "Uzivaj," a track inspired by the landscapes of Slovenia, and dive into the unique universe of this trio with their captivating musical proposal!

Louis Hélaine and Claire Fasulo, photographers, collaborated with the trio to design an album cover that reflects their musical aesthetic: a pictorial style at the crossroads of Pink Floyd album covers and Magritte's paintings.
The album features global sounds and harmonies, with tracks like "Piazza Di Spagna," "Mer Morte," "Toundra," and "Malinconico." The track "Uzivaj" transports listeners to Slovenia, capturing its wild nature—the lakes, mountains, and deep forests—perfectly portrayed by the trio.
Espace Impair will perform live on November 16, 2024, at Croix in L’Auditorium Debussy near Lille. Follow them on social media to stay updated on upcoming concerts:
