After releasing songs like Road and Rose, Grateful, and Secretly over the months, all featured on the album, Lumio reveals the flagship track, Staring at the Sun, with the album’s launch.
Musician, songwriter, composer, and performer Niko Gamet created the power trio Mok (two albums under Hacienda Records and over 200 concerts) as a drummer and singer before establishing himself as a studio and session musician. He supported numerous artists, performing remarkable opening acts (Nada Surf, Richie Havens, John Butler Trio, Luke, Deportivo, Blankass, Dionysos…) on prestigious stages (Francofolies, Olympia, Théâtre Antique de Vienne and Fourvière).
Lumio, named after a Corsican village meaning "village of light," is one of those rare projects—timeless and trend-resistant. Upon first listen, it feels essential and luminous, standing out among today’s music scene. This project is a vision we adore, particularly for its haunting voice that evokes deep emotions every time we listen.
