TODEM presents his musical project with the single "8e Jour" on Youtube: a debut track with a ravishing melody sung by the soothing voice of musician TODEM.
TODEM launches with "8e Jour," a pop-rock revelation that reminds us of classic French variety like Balavoine, seventies rock like America or Supertramp, and contemporary artists like Clara Luciani or Raphaël.
The project was born from the meeting between TODEM, who has collaborated on many projects over the years, and the sound engineer/producer Antoine Bordeaux at Studio Ferber, the legendary studio in eastern Paris.
For this first single, TODEM suggests dedicating an 8th day of the week to love—an idea we fully embrace! "8e Jour" heralds a five-track EP set to release in mid-November, giving us a chance to learn more about this secretive and highly talented artist: singer, songwriter, and musician through and through.
TODEM is a singer-songwriter and melodist who has spanned several musical decades, both solo and in groups. His creation has absorbed a mix of atmospheres, colors, rhythms, and musical genres, forming a very personal melting pot. His warm and fluid vocal signature never feels overplayed.
Here is the team around TODEM: Étienne Meunier (guitarist and co-composer), Jean-Max Méry (keyboards), Raphaël Chassin (drums), and Benjamin Joubert (Biduloscope) on mastering.
