MUET unveils their new EP, *En altitude*, with a stunning session recorded in a chalet in the Pyrenees. Watch it—it’s worth your time. *En altitude* follows their album *Le Pic de Tout*, released a few months ago on their label Upton Park.
MUET, the electroacoustic duo, presents new versions of four tracks from *Le Pic de Tout* and an unreleased song, “La grand’hune.”
A young group driven by a shared desire to create and share meaningful music, Maxime Rouayroux and Colin Vincent are determined to keep creating while the world hits pause. During the confinement period, after their time with the band “Volin,” they formed “Muet.” The sound of this new group is more electronic, innovative, and experimental.
For this celebratory EP, the electroacoustic duo delivers live versions of four tracks from the album, plus the unreleased “La grand’hune.”
*En altitude* offers 29 minutes of digital and organic soundscapes, taking listeners on a journey above the peaks.
“After the end of Volin, I wanted to produce music on my own and explore more electronic sounds. I listen to a lot of electronic music, but I hadn’t had the chance to experiment with it much before. I find the world of electronic music intriguing, especially when blended with French lyrics and poetry. There’s very little alternative music that combines electro and poetry. I think of Dominique A, who explored this blend early in his career. Like him, we’ve done this in a very handcrafted way.” — Colin Vincent
