Patricia Bonner sings jazz and tango on the superb album *Chronicles of Time*, set to be released on November 29, 2024, by the Teranga label.
Patricia Bonner is singing better than ever on the sixteen tracks of the album *Chronicles of Time*, clearly inspired by these compositions from Jean-Michel Proust. This musical journey blends jazz, tango, and chanson, transporting listeners from Paris to Buenos Aires, and to the jazz clubs of New York.
Jazz and tango intertwine, thanks to the talents of specific arrangers Chloë Pfeiffer and Jean-Marc Fritz. They found a space for dialogue, where the tango quartet is enhanced by a trombone section on some tracks, while the jazz orchestra incorporates bandoneon and violin on others. The idea of using a five-trombone section allows the orchestrators to employ it in various ways—big band style, string orchestra style, or even as a doo-wop vocal group background.
These arrangements were crafted like haute couture creations, perfectly tailored for Patricia Bonner's songs. She authored nearly all the lyrics, making this album deeply personal, filled with her words, emotions, thoughts, and even humor.
This album reflects the soul of a performer who, for the first time, sings with no artifice, making no concessions other than being completely honest with herself. The music is custom-made for her, with no regard for trends or external pressures. This album is unique because the artist is unique, and the songs, designed for her, truly resemble her.

Whether in French (*Je M’aime*), in English (*It’s Spring*), or in Spanish (*Verano*), Bonner’s vocal and instrumental mastery is a true delight, with precise and poetic colors. This is high art at its finest, with a top-tier team.
