“There’s no set time to cook sausages, my friend; and to eat my sausage, bring your little sister.”
Éric & Ramzy are searching for the new comedy star.
Following a similar approach to Laurent Ruquier with On n’demande qu’à en rire, the duo—let’s admit—hasn’t discovered as much talent. Just one or two stand out because the level is quite mediocre, like this joke: “a broom without bristles is just a stick.” The moments when we only see the comedic pair are sometimes at the level of their filmography. When I saw Jean-Pascal Zadi as a guest on the latest episode, I thought, “Okay, they could have swapped him with Florence Foresti, especially since there were already two people I didn’t know at all,” but watching the show changed my mind. His insights on stand-up were surprisingly thoughtful and professional. Nevertheless, there’s something for everyone. The three main themes are absurd humor (which appeals to me less), dark humor (which I have a penchant for), and sharp humor with the roast (where the goal is to roast the comedic duo), three radically different ways to entertain.
